DIY Monogram Craft
We’re in love with the monogram trend! The addition of a personalized initial gives a unique touch to any room or decor piece. These types of pieces can be expensive, so we’re sharing with you budget-friendly DIY Monogram craft.
Cardboard crafts has been my all time favourite! The best thing about Diy Monogram craft is, I don’t need to go hunting for supplies. Sometimes half my plans to create something unique dissolves due to unavailability of supplies at home.
Sometimes all you need is a little personalization to turn something ordinary into something fabulous. And when it comes to home decor, monogramming can really make it special and one-of-a-kind.
If arts and crafts time in your home simply means setting out some crayons and paper, we’re about to shake things up for you. There are plenty of ways to nurture your child’s talents that don’t require mom and dad to be professional artists. Gathering everything from washi tape and yarn to cardboard boxes and glitter, this DIY yarn Monogram craft will make them artists themselves!

Material required to make Cardboard Monogram:
- Cardboard
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Washi tape
- Decoration
- Markers and crayons

Step #1: Cut the cardboard into huge capital alphabets as per each child’s initial.

Step #2: Get all the decoration items together on a tray.

Step #3: Give them a basic idea of decorating the yarn monogram and then let their imagination flow with creativity.

They also learn how to tie knots while doing this Monogram. This lacing activity improves their motor skills. Children are always thinking where to start the yarn and stick the washi tape and how to end the yarn roll with a knot. All of this develops their imagination and visual skills.

If you’re feeling really creative and Adventurous make this monogram craft yourself with your children and use whatever colour yarn you’d like and decorate it with other embellishments such as stars, or hearts, washi tape, glitter etc..!



I like to include my sons friends for creative activities. As you can see, all the Monograms are different. They all have created a craft through their own imagination. It is great to see such variety with a simple craft idea. The beauty of craft is when every time you give your child to create from the same material, they still make it differently.
