Diy Superhero Mason Jar
Superhero obsession is very common at home, when you have boys. Somehow everything starts and ends with Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider Man, Super man and god knows how many more. I have lost count of all the names and movies now. What a good idea to have these Superhero Mason jar stationed in the rooms.
Getting them to do some craft also means that you have to incorporate Superheroes in that craft. So, why not we let them uplift their study table decor with these awesome Superhero Mason jar craft. They could use it as a pencil stand, store stationery, brush stand possibilities are immense. And if they don’t use, you can use them in your pantry or bathroom too. Superman’s and Batman’s look good everywhere, or how about Wonder woman and Cat woman.
Using your old Mason jars this craft activity is way simpler than it looks. It transforms your old used mason jar into a decor piece which even looks store bought. The variations and creativity you can involve in a DIY Mason jar craft will leave you appalled. Mason jars were always washed and reused for storing other things since ages, but decorating them and turning them into something beautiful brings meaning to re-cycling.
These DIY Superhero Mason jars are made with some basic supplies and are quite easy to make. You can involve the younger kids and the older ones can make themselves. We recently did a post on kids craft or craft ideas for teens/young adults too. Involving kids in a craft is always a step towards building their confidence. When they make something creative it gives them encouragement to be more creative and think out of the box. Though, if the craft does not turn out as expected there are always means to improvise with repainting or adding some glitter.

What do we need:

Tips on using Mod podge:
1.Mod Podge is an excellent product/sealer and it does wonders. Its always important to the use the right amount of Mod podge at different stages. The base coat should be light and the top coat could be heavy.
2. Always use a squeezy or a card to remove creases.
3. Give the product enough time to dry for the best results.
4. I like to use Matte Mod podge most of the time.Depending on your design you can decide.
Procedure:
#Step 1:
Spray paint your mason jars. Use a duct tape in the inside or other areas where you don’t want the paint. Since I am making Batman and Wonder woman i have used black and blue as my background colour’s respectively. Let them dry for day after spray painting.
#Step 2 :
Print the Superhero logos on a paper. Print them to a size which would fit on your mason jar. It would be a good idea to print them a a thick paper instead of the normal thickness.
Cut them and keep them ready.
#Step 3 :
Apply a thin layer of Mod podge either on the cut out logo or on the area where you will place the logo. Make sure you apply a thin layer.
#Step 4 :
Stick it the position you want.
#Step 5 :
Gently press with a squeezy or a plastic card so there are not creases. Be gentle. And let it dry for 15 minutes now.
#Step 6 :
Now apply a thick coat of Mod podge on the stuck logo. Let it dry out for 24 hours. Avoid water for a couple of days.
